Museum attractions include Paul Revere’s lantern, Henry Thoreau’s writing desk

Items that tell all sorts of stories about famous people and everyday residents attract visitors to the Concord Museum, where you can see the lantern used by Paul Revere and much more. Also part of the museum’s 45,000 objects: the writing desk, flute and spyglass owned by Henry Thoreau; David French’s bust of Ralph Waldo Emerson; and the kettle used by Louisa May Alcott during her service as a Union Army nurse in the Civil War. The April 19, 1775 gallery holds muskets and powder horns from the Revolutionary War-era and features a digital map that shows, step by step, what happened on that important day. There are fun scavenger hunts and interactive stations.
