Zoo 100 Day will be the first event of a series of centennial celebrations throughout the summer. This will be a fun-filled day of zookeeper encounters, entertainment and more. The Jumping Monkeys, a children's musical group, will perform from 10:15 to 11 a.m. and from 11:15 a.m. to noon (weather permitting). Watch as some of the animals, including the tigers, African wild dogs, keas and others, receive birthday themed enrichment items including ice treats and paper mache cakes filled with treats. Annie Leibovitz: Pilgrimage Exhibit at the Concord Museum – Concord, MA

This special exhibition, presented at the Concord Museum in collaboration with Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House, includes 70 photographs that chart a new direction for one of America’s best-known living photographers, Annie Leibovitz. Concord is the first stop on a national tour of this exhibition, following its presentation at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and its only New England venue. During the run of this exhibition, the Concord Museum will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In July, August, and September the museum will remain open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. A highlight of the festival is the Sidewalk Chalk Art contest, creating art spontaneously on the sidewalks of Rockport. The festival also offers Try Your Hand Art Event, with easels set up at different vantage points throughout downtown. Art activities for children, a scavenger hunt (finding temporary, small-scale sculptures of the Motif), poetry readings, film, art exhibits, dramatic presentations and live music will all be featured for a festival that encompasses nearly every artistic medium.
